Chamber Music

Chamber Music classes are encouraged for students who read well and are in at least Suzuki Volume 3. Studio2 chamber classes involve multiple violins or violin and piano combinations with one person on each part. Trillium (pictured below) chamber classes coordinate groups with other music studios providing opportunities to practice and perform with other instruments, such as viola, cello, or wind instruments. Full-scale duets, trios, quartets, and quintets from the classical, folk, and popular repertoire are rehearsed and played in recitals or social events.

MusicTime and Musical Minds

MusicTime and Musical Minds are classes designed to develop the aesthetic sense, musical intelligence, and artistry of the young musician.  Created by Alison Garner, the Musical Mind curriculum is based on the newest research in educational cognitive science, neuro-psychology, and child development. It is the only music curriculum available that effectively addresses music development through a multi-disciplinary, multi-sensory approach using a child’s innate creativity as the catalyst for learning.
